Ubuntu Music Player: Audacious 3.0.3 and 3.1 Alpha

Looking for Ubuntu Oneiric music player that uses little memory and looks clean? So I would recommend you for Audacious. In addition to having a clean appearance, it also has an interface similar to Winamp.

You can choose the interface that is used, whether the Winamp-like interface or a clean GTK interface by going to View > Interface. You can use this selection in both versions of the latest Audacious, version 3.0.3 and version 3.1 Alpha 1.

Unfortunately, to install these two versions for your Ubuntu music player you have to run Ubuntu Oneiric as Audacious 3.x requires a newer ffmpeg version. ffmpeg in the previous Ubuntu versions do not support for it.

To install Audacious 3.0 in your Ubuntu 11.10, use the command below:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install audacious
If you want to experiment with installing Audacious 3.1 Alpha 1, use the following command:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/unstable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install audacious
That's if how to get music player for Ubuntu Oneiric. This installation using PPA which uploaded to the main WebUpd8 PPA. Hope it useful for you :).
